About me:

Not much to say actually…I was born in Athens, in 1962. I ‘ve spent the very best of my life working with uninspired people; but I’ve had lots of opportunities to take inspired pictures. Currently, I earn my living working in advertising and social media.

Jazzismus Was There...

“Eleni Valenti Jazz Trio at Mystic Pizza &...

“Eleni Valenti Jazz Trio at Mystic Pizza & Pasta”…

Youn Sun Nah - “Lento” (2013): A stunning, yet personal (if not quite intimate), vocal exercise oozing poetic charm.
“Border-Free” (2013): Valdes’ fiery piano has a gentle, if not subtly romantic secret hidden deep in.
Let the blues celebration begin: Hugh Laurie’s “Didn’t It Rain” (2013)…From New Orleans to Kansas City, Laurie with a help of his friends, notably Taj Mahal & Gaby Moreno makes a strong enough soul blues case. This is a truly accomplished trio (J. Berlin, M. Clark, R.
Scott Hamilton and his most recent work “Swedish Ballads…& more” offer a taste of sparkling jazz standards with a “Nordic” touch. A wonderful quartet shining through this album. Probably one of Hamilton’s finest moments, shared by Jan Lundgren’s glossy piano playing…Absolutely enjoyable and highly recommended “dry martini” music…

Kahil El'Zabar Quartet: What It Is!

Kahil El'Zabar Quartet: What It Is!:
From Pharoah Sanders to Archie Shepp, Jahil El’Zabar’s African drumming is back flanked by a bunch of promising jazz tigers.
A few shots with the handy Leica D-Lux 6, in extreme contrast situations (jpg from raw file, no pp). Lens is wide open (f/1.4) and the macro setting is selected. For such a compact camera handling of chromatic aberration, distortion and sharpness are surprisingly good. The creamy bokeh is the least to say adorable, not to mention those classic Leica tones produced by the minuscule Vario-Summilux…

“Easter Time”…

“Easter Time”…

“Local Epitaph”…

“Local Epitaph”…

Julia Hülsmann Quartet ‘In Full View’ -...

Julia Hülsmann Quartet ‘In Full View’ - Interview

Dangerously entertaining…This is Alex Wilson’s debut as a trio leader and he delivers the goods with style, innovation, vigour & an extraordinary ability to merge influences…Tip toe & tap stuff…
